Crown Luxury Cars began in 1962 and was registered at companies house in 1967 by my father David Newman. He carried on throughout the sixties improving the fleet and the business, which even then included chauffeuring some MPs. In the early seventies we ran Morris Oxfords and the Zephyrs. In 1975 the company upgraded once again and I began to drive a Vauxhall VX490 one of the top of the Vauxhall's range. In 1978 my father died at the age of 50 and I joined the business under the watchful eye of my mother. We changed to Jaguars and Ford Granada’s to emphasize the luxury side of the business. I then took over the company in 1985 and have continued to run it with my wife Penny registered as Crown Luxury Cars Limited. We are proud to remain a family business.
